    Descartaê was born from the will of a group of people to expand LimPOA, a project that maps all the waste disposal facilities from the city of Porto Alegre, into an open-source platform that aims to provide the technological tools needed to create a database of all the waste disposal facilities ANY city and make it easily available for all the population.

    Descartaê was born from the will of a group of people to expand LimPOA, a project that maps all the waste disposal facilities from the city of Porto Alegre, into an open-source platform that aims to provide the technological tools needed to create a database of all the waste disposal facilities ANY city and make it easily available for all the population.

    Together with my co-founders we:

    - Closed a partnership with a nonprofit organization from the U.S.
    - Raised the funds to turn LimPOA, a city-based solution, into Descartaê a platform that is able to support every city in the world.
    - Assembled the team to design/develop the brand, UX & UI, web platform, APIs and the native iOS & Android apps.

    My personal contributions in the project include:

    - Discussing and defining the product's roadmap/scope with our partners and communicating it to the team.
    - To manage the relationship between the remotely distributed team and the nonprofit's team.
    - Being responsible for the development of the native iOS application (Highlights: the app is open-source, built in Swift 4 and uses GraphQL to communicate with the Descartaê's API).
    - Analyzing feedback from the end users and the librarians as an input to improve the product
